It is one of the major Christian festivals, but it has become changed by a number of councils to "Happy Holidays" instead of 'Merry Christmas'. All the other religions/ethnicities are referred to by their correct festival title, so I want to see Merry Christmas on the banners. Is this political correctness gone haywire? And why only Christian festivals that are affected? Palmerston North - please change your banners this year.

Our CBDs have been making headlines lately – they’re not quite the bustling hearts of our cities they once were, with more people flocking to malls instead. The big question is, what do you think should be the focus of a revitalised city centre?
