Applications for new arts and heritage funds opening soon
Heads up to the Kāpiti arts and heritage community – very soon we’ll be launching two new funds to support the cultural sector. The Museums and Heritage Development Fund will have $30,000 available annually for projects showcasing Kāpiti heritage, or building capacity and capability in the heritage sector.
The Arts Sustainability Fund will have $36,000 available annually to support new arts initiatives that contribute to the cultural vibrancy of the Kāpiti Coast.
Start thinking now about any projects you might have that could be eligible for financial support! To find out more about the funds, visit www.kapiticoast.govt.nz... and www.kapiticoast.govt.nz...
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
