Microchipped animals are able to be reunited with their owners much quicker than those that aren’t. On average 85% of microchipped animals are able to be reunited within 2 hours of them being scanned.
Some councils have already mandated microchipping, including Wellington and Palmerston North. Now is the time to have your cat chipped for low cost, before any bylaws come into place in Horowhenua area.
Can't make the event but still need your cat chipped ? Contact us for details.
We also could use volunteers for the event. Especially to help with admin/paperwork and cat handling.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.

85.1% Yes
