2023 New Plymouth Community Foodbank Christmas Food Drive
The 2023 New Plymouth Community Foodbank Christmas Food Drive is taking place on Monday 4th December from 5.30pm until late.
We encourage everyone to get involved in this event (please invite and tag your friends on Facebook); donations are distributed back into your community to families and people in need throughout 2024.
Our food drive spans across New Plymouth and Bell Block, and it will go on rain or shine, regardless of the weather!
If you're able to lend a hand, we would be immensely grateful for non-perishable food items and household products. You can leave your donations near your letterbox for our collection teams to pick up, or you can hand them directly to our friendly volunteers as they make their rounds in your neighbourhood.
Keep an ear out for the sirens, car horns or music; that's the sign that our collection teams are nearby.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support. Your participation is genuinely valued!
🧩😏 Riddle me this, Neighbours…
I am an odd number. Take away a letter and I become even. What number am I?

Have you got New Zealand's best shed? Show us and win!
Once again, Resene and NZ Gardener are on the hunt for New Zealand’s best shed! Send in the photos and the stories behind your man caves, she sheds, clever upcycled spaces, potty potting sheds and colourful chicken coops. To enter, tell us in writing (no more than 500 words) why your garden shed is New Zealand’s best, and send up to five high-quality photos by email to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz. Entries close February 23, 2026.
Step by step for a great cause!
Our amazing Hillary Hikers from Edmund Hillary Village showed their support for Bowel Cancer New Zealand's Move Your Butt campaign this month!
Sporting the bright purple and orange campaign shirts, these wonderful walkers hit the Auckland waterfront and marched from Mission Bay to Kohimarama, raising awareness for bowel cancer and the importance of early detection along the way.
