Electricity price comparisons

Tony from Inglewood

Another wannabe Powerswitch competitor posting on Neighbourly again today with no way to reply to their post. When are these companies going to learn to include EV ownership and solar generation in their input fields. Both of these factors make a huge difference to which provider customers are best suited to.

In our case we are a 2 EV household with sufficient PV capacity to charge them both, run our rural home (pumped water & 2x 700L freezers) and other household consumption and still we are in credit for the 4th month in a row with Octopus Energy as our provider. The results displayed by the likes of NZ Compare bear no resemblance to our use model.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
