NO RECYCLING OR FOOD SCRAP COLLECTION
Hey everyone, I see lots of Westown people have their food scraps and glass bins out today. You may not have seen the notice from Council, they are limiting waste collection to just landfill during lockdown to reduce staff and contact at waste stations. We have to just put food into Red Bins or compost if you can and save up recycling til after lockdown
Info cut and paste below from the FB Page:
To keep our people safe there will be some changes to our kerbside collection.
From tomorrow we will only be collecting your red landfill bins and we will be moving to a weekly pick up for the red bins only. This is a temporary change during an unprecedented time. Find more details here: bit.ly...
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
