2006 Mazda 3 for sale
2006 Mazda 3 hatch back – 1600cc - 110,000miles - Silver Blue “as is”
We are selling this car “as-is” but it is in lovely condition inside and out. We used it for 2 and half years in the UK and liked it so much we thought we’d bring it back with us to NZ. In the UK it always sailed through the WOF check and the shippers pronounced it as fine when we shipped it back to NZ.
However when NZ Agriculture wanted it steam cleaned it revealed large areas of rust along the chassis, as such NZ compliance want it all removed before they will pass it fit to be NZ registered.
Removing the rust by sandblasting is definitely doable but it is a BIG job and we don’t want to proceed with it.
As explained there is rust underneath but the body panels are all fairly clean, the 1600cc motor is very economical but it is still very chirpy and nice to drive – keeping up with traffic at 140kph on the M1 was no problem.
Apart from a few stone chips and one tiny spot of rust, the paintwork is in good condition.
The interior is in very good condition - it even has a factory 6 CD player.
The wheels are factory alloys (205/55R 16) The tyres are brand new – we put them on 2 days before shipping so they have only driven maybe 3 or 4 hundred KM. The Tyres are German Made Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance – rated highly for wear, and very highly for wet weather grip.
Beaurepairs list these for 369.00 each
This makes the wheels alone worth about $1800
We want to be realistic and are prepared to let the whole car go for $850.00
