Air-Travel Costing Scam's; the rate payers $$$ rorts continue!
After reading todays Daily News, you have to really start wondering if those in the NPDC and its bureaucracy, are really on the same planet as the rest of us over Rated- Payers.! Not only do we have a Air-port terminal being built unnessacaly now, and with a name no one understands, but now it is exposed that the very people we pay to control spending in the district, have been actually gorging themselves on air-travel perk's. Amongst the scam's costs is the "ART's" add on costs, featuring prominently, yet again. What the hell has the arts and the Len Lye Centre got to do with the core local govt business? Why is it that Rate Payers money is still being used for frivolous and unnessacary wants that this Council still carry's on with? When the A.G. gets his teeth into the Yarrow Stadium fiasco, I pray then he notices the other wayward obsessions with spending other peoples hard earned money that this NPDC is set upon. "Let Us Pray!"

Some Choice News!
DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.
Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.
For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.
Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?
We hope this brings a smile!
