News provided should either be totally unbiased or at least provide both or all views unless comment declined and stated as such. How else is the general citizenry to stay informed.

They have already bust the Budget and so will not be able to install 100% of the Meters they Planned! They are also Months behind Schedule! They are also trying to 'push' you into agreeing to a Shared Meter where there is more than one Property eg Cross lease situations... Please do NOT be Bullied! They are using other Councils' data and it is not good! So stick to your principals and INSIST ON AN INDIVIDUAL WATER METER FOR YOUR USE ONLY! AND THEY CAN PAY FOR IT, SINCE WE PAY SO MUCH ALREADY, DON'T WE?? My Neighbour and I have agreed to do this, so we are ready and waiting .... All these figs. and data is on the Council Website, which they don't like us to read, do they?? Happy reading Folks! Heather Pantin-Lewis of Westown

They might be eligible for Warmer Kiwi Homes, a government grant offering 80% - 90% of the cost of ceiling and underfloor insulation, and up to 80% off an energy-efficient heater, like a heat pump.
In August, the eligibility criteria were extended so over 50,000 more homes are eligible for insulation grants. It gets better - there are lots of community organisations offering extra funding to reduce the cost further.
Go to our website to check their eligibility, today.
