Full Sanctuary Tracking Card Run - Rotokare Scenic Reserve
This coming Sunday 11th May 2025 we will start collecting the tracking cards for this round of full sanctuary pest monitoring. It is a huge job with over 1500 cards to collect from all corners of the sanctuary. We require as many fit, confident people as possible to make this job easier.
If you are keen to help please be at Rotokare by 9.00am on Sunday morning.
We also have a special request for additional assistance to help organise the card collectors and someone to prepare lunch for the volunteer team. If you are interested in helping with these roles please contact me.
Cheers

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
