Shot fired at New Plymouth home

Police are appealing for information after reports a firearm was discharged towards a residential address in New Plymouth last week.

What you need to know:
- Detective Sergeant Daniel Coomey said police responded to reports of a firearm being discharged towards a property on Pembroke St in Westown just after midnight on Wednesday, December 11.
“Luckily, nobody was injured in the incident,” Coomey said.
- Police are working through inquiries to determine what happened and identify those involved, and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information, who hasn’t already talked to police, to come forward.
- Coomey said any potential CCTV footage would be appreciated and officers would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious vehicles, especially a red four-door hatchback.
- The hatchback was possibly travelling in convoy with a silver station wagon or a dark coloured sedan in the Westown area late on Tuesday evening and into the early hours of Wednesday last week..
- Members of the public can report any information to police on 105 either online or over the phone or anonymously, can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
