Violinist wows Taranaki

Chris Beath from Taranaki Symphony Orchestra

Emmalena Huning has arrived from Australia this week, and has been practising with the Taranaki Symphony Orchestra for her concert on Saturday night where she will play the Sibelius Violin Concerto. This is a real coup for our local orchestra to be the first in NZ to attract this young rising music star.

But she has had a busy time in Taranaki also having an interview with Radio NZ Concert Radio (will be broadcast on Friday), giving a talk and demonstration to the Taranaki Youth Orchestra to inspire younger players, being interviewed by Stuff (Daily News), and tonight being interviewed by Bryan Vickery on Hokonui Radio.
If you want to see or read any of these they are on line at:

Tickets for her concert with the Taranaki Symphony Orchestra on Saturday night are available from Ticketek.
