SI Waitara is hosting an Ovarian Cancer Awareness Dinner and Fundraiser on May 17th, 6pm at the Raleigh Restaurant, 16 Queen Street, Waitara. Come along and hear Dr Valentina Shaw from Taranaki Women's Health speak about Ovarian Cancer and help raise funds for New Zealand's only dedicated Ovarian Cancer charitable organization - Cure our Cancer, by bidding on our mystery auction items. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
