Out of this World - Viagogo scam
The Taranaki Symphony Orchestra is holding an exciting concert this Saturday at the TSB Showplace to celebrate 50 years since the moon landing. Obviously Viagogo recognises that this is going to be a wonderful concert as they are trying to scam the public by offering tickets to this at 6 times the price of the tickets that you can buy from Ticketek. Apart from that Viagogo won't say where the seats are, whereas if you buy on line from Ticketek you get a seating plan and you can choose seats. They are cunning, because if you Google "Out of this World", New Plymouth their website comes up first.
I don't know how this company (that isn't registered in NZ) is allowed to continue to operate here and to scam people like this.
But be warned and if you are wanting to go to this concert get your tickets from Ticketek (either at the box office or on-line).

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls
ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.
🛡️ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and you’re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.
Remember, banks will:
❌ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codes
❌ Never need to know your full credit card number – especially the CVC
❌ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your device
❌ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.
If you have received a phone call and think your account has been compromised, call ASB on 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or visit your local branch.
