Are there hidden 3 … View moreI have no idea what subdividers contribute to the extension of services these days but councils often complain about the cost of the same even if already paid for. The latter however is a common action as the push to increase property density or mitigate a growing rates problem. Are there hidden 3 Waters costs. How do this compare with existing costs?

"Contributions related to wastewater or water supply are charged separately through Watercare Services Ltd. These are called Infrastructure Growth Charges (IGC). Similar to development contributions, these would be payable in situations where a new site connects to the publicly reticulated wastewater or water supply network, or similarly a new dwelling doing the same.
The IGC for the metropolitan area is $11,680 plus GST However if you are doing your development in more remote settlements or townships such as Wellsford or Helensville, the costs are considerably higher at $18,556 plus GST and $22,080 plus GST".

This concert also features a Harpsichord that has recently… View moreA recently formed Baroque Ensemble, "I Barocchi" from members of the Taranaki Symphony Orchestra, will be performing an exciting programme of Baroque Music. The concert will be at the Methodist Centre (Whiteley Memorial Church).
This concert also features a Harpsichord that has recently been refurbished and donated to the Taranaki Symphony Orchestra. The concert features works by Bach, Vivaldi, Corelli, Telemann & Arne. Led by Adam Jasinski, the concert also features a number of soloists: Ian Wong, Norine Dixon, Margarietha Gray (violins), John Barritt (harpsichord), Ingeborg Hawighorst (cello), Jocelyn Beath (flute) and Barbara Mitchell (recorder). Admission is by Koha, with complimentary tea and coffee available at interval.
The Taranaki Songmen Choir will be performing at this weeks Lunchtime Concert, Methodist Centre (Whiteley Memorial Church) from 12.15 pm.

Taranaki Songmen have evolved from the Taranaki Male Choir as a relaxed and progressive male vocal ensemble with a repertoire that mixes traditional and contemporary songs. Directed by Julian Raphael the group will perform stirring and soulful songs of the sea, songs by New Zealand writers and some new arrangements of Lennon and McCartney classics. Koha appreciated.
