Roaming dogs at night

Jo from Westown

Please fellow dog owners make sure your dogs are locked up on your property .. I came home from work at 4am Saturday morning to my poor cat been mauled by two dogs ... They had come on to the property up two flight s of stairs to the front door and had her in their mouths both pulling on her like a toy.. my daughter heard the rukus and looked out the window and seen it all .. by the time she called out to her father .. it was too late .. the carnage was done .. my poor cat had her Jaw ripped apart , puncture wounds over her body one eye had popped out and the other had gone black to the point where she was blind . My husband wrapped her up in a towel and put her in a box ... I called the emergency vet group and we took her down ... Her injuries were so severe she literally had her head crushed but my baby was still breathing . Unfortunately we had to put her to sleep .. All this carnage happened under a minute .. but it wouldn't of happened if you had locked your damn dog up ... My daughter recognized one of the dogs .. it's a known roamer in the Westown .. Pembroke area .. it looks like a staffy terrier ... Tannish brown with a white chest possibly belly and the other dog was possibly dark brown or maybe dark grey . So if you live in the area keep an eye out ... I'm so gutted 😭

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
