U3A General monthly Meeting - Green Energy
Each month U3A runs a meeting that's open to all, with speakers on a variety of fascinating topics. On Wednesday 9 June at 1.30 pm Andrew Clennett, CEO of Taranaki company Hiringa Energy Limited, will speak on "Green Energy for a Zero Emission Future". The venue is Brooklands Church, at 21 Bideford Street, Brooklands. Everyone is welcome to come and hear about this vital and very topical subject. Bring your friends. Afternoon tea and socialising follow the talk, and there is no charge.

The Post has been diving into our daily habits, and research suggests being an early bird or a night owl isnβt just a choiceβitβs biology! We all have that specific time when our brains finally "click" into gear.
This raises a big question for the modern workplace. To get the best out of everyone, should employers accommodate our natural body clocks? This idea is at the heart of the four-day work week and flexible scheduling movements.
