African Guitar, Lunchtime Concert, Wednesday 24th September
Next Wednesday at the Methodist Centre, 12.15 pm, featuring Julian Raphael (guitar & voice), Laura Durville (voice, mbira, percussion) and Tony Hansen (ukulele, voice), playing music from African countries such as Mali, Ghana, Zimbabwe and Kenya. Julian has played the guitar for over 50 years and for 30 of those years he has enjoyed learning about African music and often weaves their music into his concerts. At this concert the audience will hear more about Julian's journey through African music. Koha for local charities appreciated.

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
