Sharp Four, Saxophone Quartet, Lunchtime Concert, Wednesday 4th Oct.
Next Wednesday, 4th October Lunchtime Concert at the Methodist Centre (Whitely Memorial Church), 12.15 pm, features Sharp Four. This is a New Plymouth based Saxophone Quartet, led by renown musician, Stewart Maunder. Comprising of Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones. All the players are from local bands and they have a passion for the combination of these instruments. The group will play different musical styles including classical, popular and light jazz standards. Koha appreciated.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
