ICON Construction + Renovation Competition

Donna from Merrilands

Find the ICON near your bubble and WIN!

While we went back to work today, we know many of you are still confined to your bubbles, so our crew were keen to do something fun for those in their own neighbourhoods.

We've planted ICON logos near our homes for you to hunt out on your daily walks (see example below). If you find one, take a photo of yourself with it for proof and DM it to us (via facebook - Icon Construction + Renovation). If you're first, you'll win a $25 voucher for SOS Cafe to support a local establishment of your choice.

We've hidden them (sort of) near parks, beaches, places of activity or carparks, mainly, in the following suburbs;

▪️East End
▪️Vogeltown
▪️Frankleigh Park
▪️Westown
▪️Ngamotu
▪️Highlands Park and
▪️Inglewood (High School end)

We'll release a clue a day for each different spot - unless someone finds it first, of course. If you know someone in one of the neighbourhoods above, let them know! Happy hunting. 👀✌️

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
