List Cover to veggiepod
Came home today and the cover of my veggie pod is missing - has been blown away in the storm. It’s a tunnel shaped structure with shade cloth and clear plastic cover , open at bottom and closed on both sides. Please message me if you have spotted it flying by, or if it has landed in you garden. I live near cricket grounds/ soccer fields at Fernleigh street, but who knows where it might have landed! Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
