WATER METERS - INDIVIDUAL? FOR ALL PROPERTY USERS - YES!
There is a NPDC Strategic Projects Committee at the Council Chamber tomorrow Wed. 16/8/23, and they will be debating the cost of Installing Water Meter per Property.... They have already bust the Budget and so will not be able to install 100% of the Meters they Planned! They are also Months behind Schedule! They are also trying to 'push' you into agreeing to a Shared Meter where there is more than one Property eg Cross lease situations... Please do NOT be Bullied! They are using other Councils' data and it is not good! So stick to your principals and INSIST ON AN INDIVIDUAL WATER METER FOR YOUR USE ONLY! AND THEY CAN PAY FOR IT, SINCE WE PAY SO MUCH ALREADY, DON'T WE?? My Neighbour and I have agreed to do this, so we are ready and waiting .... As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
