TSB BRANCH FITZROY
Hi everyone. Does anybody know if there is a partition going around to stop the closure of the TSB Fitzroy Branch. To me, it is a bad move by our local bank to close this branch. We are now told that we will be able to use Bell Block Branch or go into the middle of town to the Centre Branch. Good luck with that?? Tell that to all the elderly people who have been living in Fitzroy and surrounding suburbs for many years. Just how these people are going to get to these branches is mind boggling. All they want to do is go and get cash out from a teller - not a machine sticking out of a wall that they have trouble using - stand in a queue at the supermarket and see how well older people go at using their card.
The TSB has always been about people and the connectivity between customers and staff - not customers and machines or faceless people at the end of a phone (at least their phone operators I believe are here in New Plymouth and not some far off land)
Come on TSB, get back to the basics and look after your customers. Remember they pay your wages.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.3% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26.2% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.5% ... It is complicated
Electricity Profits
Holy Moses, Contact Energy made a small profit for last 6 months, only 44%
This is just unbelievable, talking about Luxon and his wealthy mates ripping us off in the challenging times.
Why does the government want to put a LEVY on the poor citizen of NZ, mainly to fund the LNG Storage Facility in Taranaki.
