Dancing on Thursday Nights
We are a friendly Modern Jive Club, with dance nights every Thursday at the New Plymouth Club in Gill Street. This is community based, non profit organisation. If you and your partner would like to learn to dance free of regimentation and with a fun factor then we would be an ideal match! We also welcome singles as well given dancers are moved round the floor every few minutes to speed up the learning process. If you are new to town, this is also another great way to meet the locals and make new friends. We believe that we provide a great affordable night out designed to chase the blues away. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
