New Plymouth Christmas Parade 2022
The New Plymouth Lions Christmas Parade returns this year. Santa and Mrs Claus will be here for the Parade on Saturday 26 November bringing the joy of Christmas to Downtown New Plymouth. Start time is 1pm at the Clock Tower on Devon Street.
The organisers are looking for entries from Community Groups, Sports Clubs, Schools and Local Businesses to celebrate the beginning of the festive season. Get your group together and join the fun and excitement.

But for Emma Muller, it has also turned into an opportunity to celebrate her late daughter Nicola, who died 19 years ago at the age of 37.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
