Lunchtime Concerts @ Whiteley - late performers change
We had previously announced that the Lunchtime Concert this Wednesday 13th July would feature both a flutist and a harpist from Auckland. Unfortunately the Harpist is now isolating with Covid so can't make the concert.
But we are very fortunate that Rob Green has agreed to jump in at the last minute and perform some well known piano pieces including the ever popular Beethoven Moonlight Sonata and a few Chopin Nocturnes and maybe a few other surprises! Rob is well known around Taranaki as a member of originally the Irish Group - the Cobblers, then the Orange and Green and lately Shaskeen Reel. Perhaps he might also be persuaded to give us a tune on his penny whistle?
This will be at the usual time of 12.15pm

But for Emma Muller, it has also turned into an opportunity to celebrate her late daughter Nicola, who died 19 years ago at the age of 37.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
