Air New Zealand turns 80 in April
Air New Zealand will turn 80 years old this month. It was 30 April 1940 when they took their first flight to Sydney as TEAL. Here is a fun fact: Air NZ were the first airline in the world to boil hot water in the skies to be able to offer their customers tea and coffee.
Ahead of COVID-19, they had plans underway to celebrate their 80th, which understandably have now been cancelled. However, they were already well down the path with a video that captures some great moments of nostalgia that they still want to share with you. The video generated a few tears in the office when Air New Zealanders first saw it.
I hope you enjoy watching the video and manage to get some quality time this weekend with family or friends, be that within your bubble or virtually.
