Do you want to buy a zoo?

Georgia Reporter from Stuff

Hi neighbours,

Have you ever wanted to own a zoo? Because now is your chance! Taranaki's privately-owned and operated Pouakai Zoo is up for tender.

The current owners say they are selling so new owners can make their mark on the Carrington Rd attraction, which, as well as lions and tigers, has meerkats, monkeys, goats, and farm animals. To read more, click here.

Have you visited the zoo before? Do your kids love seeing the animals? Let us know your thoughts in the replies.
(Please add "NFP/not for print" if you do not want your images/ comments used on Stuff)

Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.

Bowen Therapy, the gentle fascia release technique

Annemarie from Holistic Health Taranaki

Bowen Therapy for newborns, babies and young children facilitates fascia release and can support them after a traumatic pregnancy, birth, or first weeks of life.
It can be helpful in the following situations:
Discomfort, unsettled, crying/screaming a lot, vomiting/spilling, difficulty latching on, constipation or digestive upsets such as cramping, bloating or wind pain.

A Bowen session for your baby is very gentle, quick, and non-invasive. The gentle and purposeful moves can be performed through a thin layer of clothing and are usually tolerated very well. There is no manipulation involved.

Reach out if you want to know more or just book in via this link below.
