Taranaki Songmen, lunchtime concert, Wednesday 13th August
Next Wednesday 13th August at the Methodist Centre, 12.15 pm, the Taranaki Songmen, a male vocal ensemble will be performing a lunchtime concert. Directed by Julian Raphael, they will be sharing their love of 1960's music with some great songs from the era. Songs by Bob Dylan, Curtis Matfield, Paul Simon, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and others. Bring your lunch and be prepared for some nostalgia vibes.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
