Sam Fawkner-Egli, Lunchtime Concert, October 30, 12.15pm
The last lunchtime concert at the Methodist centre for 2024 features Taranaki Singer Songwriter Sam Fawkner-Egli. He has been writing and performing over the last 10 years, finding inspiration from great artists such as Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Don McGlashan and the Finn Brothers.
The feeling of freedom and peace that music has invoked in Sam is what inspires him when creating his own songs, motivated by the spirit of folk music, rock'n'roll and what it did for the world during the 1960's (and beyond). Koha appreciated.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
