Mercy Jones (pianist) Lunchtime Concert @ Whiteley Church, Friday
Mercy Jones will be performing Mendelssohn's piano concerto No.2 with the Taranaki Symphony Orchestra on Saturday 14th August. But as a taster of her prodigious talent she will be performing at the Lunchtime Concert series in Whiteley Memorial Church this Friday 30th July, starting at 12.15 pm. This will be a very enjoyable concert, and teas, coffees and cakes are also available. Come along and bring some friends to enjoy a lovely lunch break. Koha appreciated.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
