The Performing Arts Collective Cultural Arts Youth Leaders are looking for others to join their group. Young people aged between 12 and 24 years old, who are creative, responsible and reliable, are interested in multi cultural performing arts, can dance, sing, act, model or play musical instruments, want experience in behind the scenes event management, then this is the group to join. Opportunities to gain experience in leadership, mentoring and volunteering are provided.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
