I'm just wondering why there is so much pressure on me to book the jab... I've got a letter in the post with a secret (must not be disclosed with friends or family members) letter, an email and now tonight a text message to hurry me up and vaccinate against the lurgy. How did they get my cell phone number" why do I need a special secret code? Should I get the code tattooed on my inside wrist? (Never seen that before...) Why all of a sudden, there is this pressure, pressure, pressure to have the jab?

However, faced with global warming – the crisis of ours – most of us do nothing. Global warming is a crisis which makes the twentieth century conflicts look, with respect to their victims, trivial. Yet the individual sacrifices we need to make to avert it are not remotely comparable to the hardships the ANZACS endured. Taking the bus to work and eating less meat isn’t merely ’virtue signalling’ but a recognition that as citizens we have responsibilities as well as rights. Let us respect the soldiers who gave their lives by not taking for granted the freedoms they bequeathed us.

Competenz has recently launched a new micro-credential to improve the level of digital literacy in the manufacturing sector.
"With an aging workforce it’s imperative we enable companies to keep their tradesmen and craftsmen,” says Jahn Vannisselroy, Competenz Sector Manager. “This micro-credential, which we can tailor to a specific company, is giving people the confidence to meet technology head-on.”
The qualification is fully funded under the government’s Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF) for employers who enrol their staff before 31 December 2022.
