A special thankyou to our neighbours who have responded to our message 7 days ago.
While we are a small charity we are involved with over a 1000 families in New Plymouth every year who have been referred to us form a N.P. social agencies.
We are still in urgent need in particular; of beds (single, queen or doubles), washing machines, table and chairs or drawers. These items are collected from you and given out free of charge to families in need. If you have any house hold items that are clean with no rips, tears or stains, are surplus to your requirements and you want to donate, please call. We also have our Shop in Fitzroy if you want to donation small items like clothing or brick and bract items. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
