Supermarkets

Jon from The Wood

Thanks for all the "likes" to my last post about expiry dates. Something I am sure you all know, but just incase, do look to the back or bottom of displays in supermarkets for fresher goods. Natutally the shops restock from the back so that is where you will find the freshest goods. Also be cautious of open top display freezers for products like icecream. I have bought a particular product from a particular supermarket that has often had a gritty/sandy texture to the icecream. This happens when it has been stored improperly and then refrozen. I now no longer shop for frozen goods there. There are other supermarkets that have enclosed frezzers with doors. After all, you would not leave the door of your freezer at home wide open!
