FRENCH STYLE 3-4 SEATER SOFA & ARMCHAIR carved & metal studs needs re-upholst.

Jan from Nelson South

FRENCH STYLE 3-4 SEATER SOFA & ARMCHAIR carved legs & metal studs [needs re-upholstering]

Purchased in Europe, but now relegated to the garage. Rescue this lovely suite and breathe new life into it. Hence some photos are of the whole lounge and others taken in storage.

Comfortable to sit, lounge or lie on, it has been used as a spare bed when needed as well. The first image of the lounge, shows the edge of the lounge suite, but without its cushions for some odd reason. They are available as well and included in the price.

Measurements:
Chair: H 82cm; W 75cm; D 80cm
Sofa: L 2metres; D 80cm; H 82cm. 3 cushions, widths are 52cm at each end and 62cm in the middle.

Elegantly restrained carved legs. Good for a shabby chic finish or french provincial interior.

Interior upholstery still in good condition, made with durable materials, but the velour on the fabric has worn off. The base fabric is still strong and sturdy. The upholstery is a draylon or man made equivalent to look like velvet. The armchair is in better condition. The fabric is threadbare along the back top of the sofa and on the arm. There is a dark stain on the inside of one arm. We don't smoke but had a lap dog at the time. It doesn't smell.

Pick up in central Nelson at the top of Collingwood St.

Price: $330

A Forum for the General Public: Dying to Know about Dying Matters?

Krisca Gould from Nelson Tasman Hospice

Thursday 20th February 2025, 1pm - 4pm at Nelson Tasman Hospice

Talking about it more, worrying about it less. A workshop the general public can attend.

This forum is for the general public to attend and is not designed for Health Professionals.

Many people find it difficult to talk about dying, yet dying is an important stage of life and is inevitable.

We plan for the birth of a child, yet when it comes to the end of life, we don’t often want to think about it, or talk about it.

Having a plan outlines our care preferences for the future. Having an Advance Care Plan (ACP) that aligns with our beliefs and values, is a gift that we can give to our family / whānau.

Come along to our workshop and find out more about dying matters, how an ACP can benefit you and your family/whānau and what to expect at the end of life.

We will explore:

– Why is it hard to talk about death and dying?
– What to expect when someone is dying
– Supports available
– Advance care planning processes

This is a free workshop, however space is limited so registration is essential.
