In my career, I saw this mistake a lot. Houseowners solve the heating problem and start an electrical problem. There is a chemical reaction between TPS cables and polystyrene when they touch each other. No problem for the polystyrene insulation but highly dangerous for the TPS cable that becomes brittle and turns to a fire hazard. It's possible to have a visual check, as in the picture, it's visible the cable has already started to notch a hole on the polystyrene meaning that the TPS cables are or will be chemically damaged and have to be replaced. An option for the replacement is a non-migratory TPS, known as Blue TPS or removing the polystyrene and replacing for another insulation type and reinstalling the electrical cables with a standard TPS.

Hi neighbours,
Is it time to ban the private sale of fireworks in favour of public displays only? Or is Guy Fawkes just a bit of flammable fun?
Would you like to see tighter restrictions on fireworks or are you a sparkler fiend who sees no problem with celebrating safely at home?

a homing pigeon arrived on my deck today - it has lost some of its chest feathers and is not keen on flying. I have taken it inside tonight and given it some food and water and will see how it is in the morning.
The number of the bird is ARPF 2017 1561.
