If your kids are little, you can help mask off any of the harder parts – such as around the soles – that you want to keep paint off of and remove laces, if there are any. You can even use this idea to makeover adult shoes that never get worn because the colour doesn’t go with anything.

We would like to invite those who were employed at McWilliams winery (as it was known then) to send us your story.

How long you were employed with McWilliams winery,
Your role ie: Vinter(winemaker), Grape crusher, Bottler, Grader, Security Guard, Management team, Barrel/Vat maker, Cleaner, Engineer or tell us what you were employed as.
Your experiences during your time with McWilliams.
When you finished working at the winery or if you were with the winery the day it closed down.
We are also interested in the history of the property before the winery was built in 1936 post earthquake 1931. Thus far information from Heritage NZ and others are being compiled for the website.

My name is Jean; for the last 48 days, and for the next 318 days, I'm running a minimum of 5 km/day to raise awareness about the importance of Mental Health in our communities.
We all have a friend, a sister or brother. a workmate, or someone in our whanau suffering from depression, post traumatic stress disorder, sometimes all the way down to suicidal tendencies. Often we don't know about it, because of the stigma associated with it. And when we get to know about it, it might be too late.
So every day in 2020, I'm running 5km to bring that up and raise funds for Mental Health Foundation NZ.
This is the equivalent of running from Whangarei down to Invercargill.
Mental Health Foundation NZ work in schools, so that it gets easier to reach out when you need it, early on. Their work is key to helping those in distress.
I'm asking for your help here, because you can do something about it.
