So when an outer ear infection occurs, you need quick, fast relief from symptoms and pain. At Ear Suction Hawkes Bay Anne has many babies, toddlers and children as clients as they are one of her areas of specialism. Anne is very experienced in dealing with microsuction for children of all ages.

Get fast relief

If you think your child or toddler may have an ear infection, we can assess your child with a quick appointment for treatment. We all know that children love to put things in places they shouldn’t, and foreign objects in ears are also known to cause ear infections. You may not even have seen your child do it, or perhaps while cleaning, the tip of the cotton bud got stuck in their ear. An assessment of the child’s ear with our special equipment can help determine the cause of the infection or whether Outer Ear Infections (Otitis Externa) or Inner Ear Infections (Otitis Media).

Infections

The infection can be cleared out using micro suction technology, the latest safe, efficient and gentle removal of infections. This low-pressure vacuum process clears the infection, removes the build-up of wax in your child’s ear, or the foreign object if that is the case, opening the ear canal.

Medicated drops

It is vital for a child or toddler who has a suspected ear infection to get specially medicated softening drops from their GP to use following their Microsuction session. These will be much more effective with no wax or debris in the outer ear canal.

Our Guide

Our booklet guide How to Survive an Ear Infection (Plus Other Health Issues that Occur in Ears) is packed full of useful information about ear infections, glue ear, earache and tinnitus. Normally priced at $19.99, our guide is free to our clients and to referring health professionals.

If you’d like a copy of our useful guide for free, book an appointment today at one of our handily-located clinics online on this website or by contacting Nick on 021 225 6425.

We have two very tidy house buses to live in, but we need somewhere, preferrably rural, to park them. We need power and water and firm ground. We'd be great security to have on any property and would be very tidy and clean tenants in any area. We also have one day vehicle each, an only partly blind poodle and a pest control feline. Please call on 021 157 9154 if you can help us to discuss payments etc. Prefer long term but will look at anything initially. Thank you.

It isn't. But NCC staff have relied on the same outdated information in their March 2019 Chlorination Review which quotes the WHO in the section titled "Proof that Chlorine is Effective". The Ministry of Health must re-consider the 2017 directive, given the health risks revealed in recent scientific research. Just one example: the association between water chlorination and the development of colorectal carcinoma is well established: colorectal carcinomas are the third most common tumour worldwide. World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology, 15 April 2016
The Dutch decided to stop using chlorine because of the 1973 discovery that chlorinated water is harmful to humans. It’s time we caught on. Councils need to find out how Christchurch is providing safe drinking water without using chlorine.
