Be careful of KING B Carpets : Windows : Ceilings

Colette from Greenmeadows

I rang Bryan from KING B Carpets : Windows : Ceilings in May 2017 to arrange for him to give me a quote to have my ceilings cleaned – we made a rough time early the following week for this appointment. When I called up that morning to confirm the time he was coming around he announced that he was too busy to come round and that I should find someone else. I asked if another day would suit better, (as I was in no big hurry to have them done) and he then said that he needed to look after his customers, to which I added that I thought I was a potential customer! He then said that he was taking about his big customers that give him business of ten thousand dollars or more (implying that my business was insignificant)! The funny thing is that I wasn’t preventing him from servicing his other customers – seemed a very irrational response – and the fact is that he had agreed to the quote just 2 business days before – if he was so busy he should have just said so! This guys customer service before he even came to do the work was appalling, so I would hate to think what the job would be like if this is how he treats his potential clients. I think I dodged a bullet – I would avoid this company if I were you!

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?
