Volunteers for our Curtain Bank needed
Hi neighbours. We need people to help us at our Onekawa workshop. You do not need to sew to volunteer. No roster, no commitment, just come when you can. Sorting donations, measuring curtains, all sorts of non-sewing roles available for those who can stand for about 2-3hrs with a nice chatty tea break at 1030am. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays mornings 9am to about 12 noon/1pm. Give me a call to chat about the roles. Kind regards, Bonnie

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
