Gather the whānau and drop your completed voting papers (that’s the important bit) into the ballot box, before you soak up the party atmosphere.
We’ve teamed up with various community groups across our rohe to bring some election excitement to our residents. Join us at the following locations:
* Waihī Beach, in collaboration with Waihī Beach Events and Promotions.
- Waihī Beach United Church carpark at 12 Wilson Road, Waihī Beach
- Join in the fun at Waihī Beach - there will be live music and activities for tamariki, plus real fruit ice cream and personalised cookies for everyone who votes.

The Centre - Pātuki Manawa at 21 Main Road, Katikati
The party will be cranking in Katikati with an awesome community long lunch, live music and treats for the little ones.

Today's the day, Western Bay. It's up to you to decide who your 32 future changemakers are going to be. Here's how it's going to work:
1️⃣?You'll be receiving your voting packs between today and Wednesday 21 September. If you don't get one by Wednesday 21 September, you can request a special voting pack to be posted out to you - just ring us or visit one of our service centres.
2️⃣?Get to know your candidates. Our website www.generationchange.nz... has our recorded candidate debates for your viewing pleasure and candidate profiles (including Q and A's). Another way to do your research is by attending community-led debates - check in with your local groups but we do have a list of ones we're aware of on our website.
3️⃣?️Vote! In 2019, only 39% of eligible voters in our District voted - sheesh. You have three ways to vote this year. You can attend one of our Poll Parties around the District by dropping your already-sealed and completed voting pack in the ballot box as entry, mail your voting pack and lastly, you can drop them off at any of our service centres during business hours.
?Important dates to remember?
?Friday 16 September - Wednesday 21 September: delivering voting packs
?Wednesday 21 September: contact us if you haven't received a voting pack by this date
?Saturday 23 September: poll parties!
?5pm Tuesday 4 October: the deadline for posting your vote
