Scam email obstensibly from NZTA
I have received a scam email that looked like it came from NZTA reminding me that my car needed to be registered. It didn’t name me, or my car and it had the wrong amount due ($74.95). It looked very legitimate on first viewing.
The email address (when it was extended) was in fact a Spark address.
It gave options to click on to renew, put on hold, unsubscribe and contact us.
I have notified NZTA, Spark and Netsafe.
If you get it, put it straight into your junk mail and block the sender, if you can.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
