Ava Rail Bridge Walkway
Argggh - it’ll be sad if we don’t have the popular Ava rail bridge walkway any more. It’s closing in late February by KiwiRail for track sleeper renewal I believe and since the walkway doesn’t meet modern standards we’re losing that at the same time. The walkway is owned by the Hutt Council so they would have to come up with the dosh to replace it (I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one what with other ongoing expenses). So sad
