HighLight: Carnival of Lights - volunteers needed
Te Omanga Hospice is thrilled to be the charity partner of HighLight: Carnival of Lights this year. The carnival was run for the first time last year and was such a success.
This year the Hutt City Council have a number of exciting pre-carnival events lined up, including Te Whiti Riser Night Walk, Night Picnic at Percy's, Glowga - Glow in the Dark Yoga and Energise the Night. The main carnival will run over Labour Weekend from 19 - 22 October.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help out at some of these events. If you would like to be at the heart of all the fun, gain experience at an event, and help your community then we would love to hear from you!
Please contact Janice Henson, Manager of Volunteer Services at Te Omanga, on 04 566 4535, Option 3 or email janice.henson@teomanga.org.nz.

Speed limits around NaeNae
Hi Neighbors, Just a heads up, I have just received a $170 fine for driving at 50km on Rata Street Naenae on a SUNDAY Morning. I wrote to NZTA pointing out and sending in a photo of sign stating that it was 30km on school days between those hours, but they said that the whole of Rata Street and some surrounding streets are 30km 24/7 and have been for over a year. Did I miss this been advised by council? Always good to be informed. Merry Christmas to all
