The course runs over four evenings, all starting at 6.30pm for 2-3 hours: 9, 16, 23 February and 2 March at the Lower Hutt Emergency Management Office, 25 Laings Road (above the i-SITE). Tea, coffee and snacks are provided to keep the energy up.
The evenings are interactive, informative, fun and open to Lower Hutt residents over the age of 14.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
