- 10 June at 10am-12:30pm, The Esplanade Carpark

- 22 July at 10am-12:30pm, MacKays crossing entrance
Spades and gloves will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own. Remember to check the weather and dress appropriately so you don't freeze out there, to help you warm up afterwards enjoy a hot drink and biscuits on us.

Here's Lower Hutt's Town Hall in 1914. The Council leased the building opposite Andrews Ave from 1908. The Town Hall building was damaged in a big earthquake in 1942 and in 1943 they moved into the old Post Office building on the corner of High Street and Laings Road. The current Town Hall building was opened in April 1957. #eventscentreopening

Last year, our volunteers were there for more than 2600 people right across the Wellington region in their times of greatest need.

Well, that's not true, at least not in relationships. Five minutes is plenty of time for you and your partner to connect on a daily basis, and in a number of ways:
Express physical affection, like kissing, hugging, holding hands, or cuddling
Talk about specific ways in which you appreciate each other Tell your partner one thing you admire about them, and why
Say thanks for the little things you've done that day to support each other
Or, if you're feeling up to it, have a quickie!

Dr Swee Tan will present on this topic. A new cancer treatment developed by the Gillies McIndoe Research Institute is being trailled for glioblastoma, a devastating brain cancer, which could revolutionise how the cancer is treated.
If proven effective, the cancer could be treated at home - without chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgery. Patients would instead take commonly used, inexpensive medications. The treatment would cost a fraction of current treatments.
