Strong winds earlier today have also lifted one of the roofing tiles at the Fraser Park Grandstand. The tile cannot be fixed at the moment as it's too dangerous for fire crews to be on the roof in this weather. The ground has been closed as a precaution and the gates are up. Please keep away.

So I just went through the comparison test between what Nova is offering and my current provider, Meridian. And to my surprise despite all the hype that Stuff had created, Meridian is $40 cheaper on my last bill from them.
I am no great fan of Meridian otherwise and I actually have shares in Mighty Power but Meridian seem still to give residents in the Wellington region the best deal among electricity providers. This does not include gas.

If you are feeling a bit bored in your relationship have a chat with your partner and try some of these tops to get things back on track
1. When was the last time the two of you did something together? Get a sitter or talk to your families and book a weekend away or go do a bucket list event together.
2. Remember we are visual beings, it’s important for both of you to make and effort for one another, remember how you used to prepare for date nights. Getting all dressed up and present your glam self to your partner (that’s men and women)
3. Bring the surprises back, when we get stuck in a routine this can be one of the first things to go – giving a small gift, some flowers, a text or little note can really go a long way
4. If the intimate side of your relationship feels a bit stale or maybe it’s not happening as much as you would both like – make some time for this as it really can help you reconnect, also try spicing things up or change the routine around a bit
5. If you are concerned that the relationship is at risk get some help before things get too bad can save your relationship.

The council will probably do so unless we object.
TMP is virtually a bird sanctuary with its twin areas of native forests and any fireworks especially in the nesting season, is greatly damaging towards birds. Of course the commotion of the fireworks is simply terrifying to birds. So TMP is not the place for this kind of event.
So let's make the UHCC well aware of this as if they are not already but choose to turn a blind eye - or deaf ear.
