Wainuiomata hill road works

Jon from Hutt City Council

To ensure the safety of our community while travelling on the Wainuiomata Hill, high-friction surfacing will be laid on a section of the Wainuiomata-bound downhill lanes.

This work will be done on:
- Wednesday 10th March 5am to 3:30pm (Wainuiomata-bound)
- Wednesday 17th March – Friday 19th March 5am to 3:30pm (Wainuiomata-bound)
- Friday 19th March 10am to 6pm (Lower Hutt-bound)
- Wednesday 14th April 5am to 3:30pm (Wainuiomata-bound)

The work is weather dependent and could be delayed by bad weather.

This section of the road will be reduced to one lane during these hours, with possible stop/go at times.

For the safety of road users and contractors, please follow the traffic management signage and instructions, including the speed reductions. There will be some traffic delays so please plan ahead.

This work is required for the safety of road users, so your patience and understanding is appreciated.

in need of Hydrangeas for wedding

Linda from Avalon

Hello everyone
My daughter is getting married this Saturday 28th February and the venue was battered by the storm and destroyed a lot of the flowers we were allowed to use. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has any green white or baby pink hydrangeas in their garden that they wouldn't mind parting with ?
Would be very much appreciated

Thank you
Linda
