Despite having been the law for almost a quarter of a century, thousands of cyclists are thumbing their nose at wearing a helmet.
Figures show 29,399 fines have been issued to cyclists for failing to wear their helmet over the past four years, prompting some people to call for a law change.

It is a white Diamondback mountainbike and has tinsel around the handlebars and in the front spokes, and has a green basket on the back. We propped it up against the fence, and saw it was still there this afternoon. Maybe someone will recognize it.
I've not used a lathe so can't say much about it, but it has a belt drive from the motor and multiple gearing. It's from the 1980s, and hasn't been used in about 15 years, but it seems to be running OK.
